Get to know me: Joni Heath, Owner of Left Behind Antiques and Crossroads Music Emporium
Hey there, I’m Joni Heath, and if you’re anything like me, you’ve probably spent way too many Saturdays wandering around antique malls, wondering what stories those dusty treasures could tell if they could talk. Luckily for me, I’ve turned that passion into a full-time adventure!
In April 2024, I opened Left Behind Antiques, followed closely by Crossroads Music Emporium — two spots where you’ll find some of the quirkiest, most fascinating pieces of history just waiting for their new homes.
You see, my love for antiques isn’t something that just popped up overnight. I’ve always been drawn to the beauty, craftsmanship, and, let’s face it, the mystery of these old, one-of-a-kind objects. There’s something magical about finding that perfect piece — the one you didn’t even know you were looking for until you see it. I’ve experienced that moment countless times and wanted to create a space where others can experience it too. My goal is to connect the right piece with the right person, and trust me when that happens, it’s like finding a long-lost friend.
From the moment I started this business, I knew it was more than just selling antiques; it’s about finding homes for these treasures. I think of myself as a matchmaker for vintage lamps, rare vinyl records, and that perfect little knick-knack you didn’t know your shelf was missing. Sure, you might come in looking for a vintage globe, but leave with an art-deco jewelry box and a set of Pyrex bowls because, well, it happens to the best of us.
What I love most about antiques is how each item has its own history — a story of where it’s been, who’s owned it, and how it’s managed to survive all this time.
